How to Register a Bike

Bicycle registration at SF is free and easy. Follow these steps:

2. Once your information is submitted, you may pick up your registration sticker at the Police Department, available 24/7.

Affixing the Registration Sticker

Place the sticker on the front of the upright frame bar that supports the seat.

Registration Terms

• Stickers are non-transferable.

• New bikes require new registration.

• The registration of a previously registered bicycle must be updated under the new owner鈥檚 name. Bicycle registration is free and has no charge.
