Parking Information
Overview
The following rules and regulations govern vehicular traffic and parking on the Santa Fe College Northwest Campus and other college locations. They are enforced by the 天涯海角社区 Police Department (SFPD) and, where applicable, local law enforcement agencies.
General Parking Rules and Regulations
- The speed limit on campus is 20 mph.
- SF does not require a decal for students or charge a fee for parking.
- Students are not permitted to park in faculty/staff lots. Faculty/staff parking is designated in blue. Learn more about obtaining parking decals or temporary parking here.

Disabled and Purple Heart parking is enforced at all times. Violations for parking in these spaces carry a $100 fine. All other parking violations incur a $20 fine.
- Parking on the grass is prohibited except where signs expressly designate otherwise.

Motorcycles, Bicycles and Other Vehicles
- Motorcycles: Must park in designated motorcycle parking areas.
- Bicycles: Must use bicycle racks and may not be taken into buildings or parked elsewhere. Bicycle traffic is restricted to roads open to motor vehicles.
- Skateboards, Scooters, etc.: Not permitted on campus or center properties.
Electric and Fuel-Efficient Vehicles
- SF does not currently offer designated parking or charging stations for electric or fuel-efficient vehicles.
Visitor Parking
- Visitor Spaces: Visitors can come to the SFPD if they have any questions about parking.
Assistance for Motorists
- The SFPD provides jump-start boxes for vehicle assistance. Visit the front desk with a photo ID to check one out. How to request help.
Citations and Appeals
- Citations: Issued for violations including:
- Operating or parking without a valid decal.
- Parking in restricted or unauthorized areas (e.g., grass, handicapped, faculty spaces).
- Appeals:
- Faculty and Staff: Contest citations by completing the online appeal form.
- Students: Submit a Student Parking Appeals form to contest citations.
- Towing and Immobilization: Vehicles may be towed or booted for violations such as blocking traffic or repeat offenses.
