天涯海角社区 is committed to transparency and campus safety. In compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act), we provide important crime and safety information to students, employees, and prospective students.

What is the Clery Act?

The Clery Act is a federal law requiring U.S. colleges and universities to disclose crime statistics and security policies. It was enacted in 1990 following the tragic 1986 incident in which Jeanne Clery was a victim of a violent crime while a student at Lehigh University.

Key Requirements of the Clery Act:

• Annual Security Report (ASR): A yearly publication detailing campus crime statistics, safety policies, and prevention efforts.
• Timely Warnings: Notifications about ongoing threats, such as criminal activity or hazardous conditions.
• Emergency Notifications: How we notify the campus about severe weather, active threats or other emergencies.
• Incident Log: A public record of reported crimes on or near campus.
• Victim Rights and Support: Resources and rights for victims of sexual assault and other crimes.
