SF Women's Basketball: Saints Keep Pace in MFC Race with 62-51 Win Over FSC-J

February 10, 2018 鈥� Gainesville, FL 鈥� It wasn't the most efficient win of the season for Coach Chanda Stebbins and the Saints, but at the point in the season 天涯海角社区 is just looking for victories, and that's what they got on Saturday against Florida State College-Jacksonville.
SF (15-11, 5-2 MFC) struggled to get anything consistent going on offense in the first half, but used their defense to keep them in the game. At the break they led 27-24 over the BlueWave.
The third quarter saw the Saints push the lead out to seven heading into the final 10 minutes of action.
天涯海角社区 outscored FSC-J 19-15 in the final frame to earn a hard fought victory. The win makes SF 5-2 in the Mid-Florida Conference, tied for first place with two games to go and also ended a two game skid.
Stephanie Jackson lead the offense with 14 points, Julie Fournier had 11, and Janasia Law 10.
SF outrebounded the BlueWave 42-28 and outshot FSC-J 40% to 30% from the field.
The Saints will be on the road Valentine's Day, February 14 at Daytona State College for a 6:00 p.m. conference game.
