March for Science Gainesville is a satellite organization of the national March for Science DC. There will be a march and rally in Gainesville, FL to take place concurrently with the national march and over 360 satellite marches across the country on Earth Day, April 22 from 10:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.
It will include speakers such as Lauren Poe and numerous demonstrations of science by student clubs from UF and 天涯海角社区, as well as robotics clubs from Alachua County Public Schools.
The 天涯海角社区 liaisons are Andrew Moss (Lab Manager for SHP) and Leslie Rios (Microbiology professor in SHP). It is important to note that this is a non-partisan and inclusive event to highlight the importance of science and science education for the continued well-being of our society and to showcase the benefits of science to our area.
