SF WOMEN'S BASKETBALL HILLSBOROUGH HANDS SAINTS FIRST MFC LOSS OF THE SEASON
February 13, 2017
Gainesville, FL – Playing shorthanded once again Saturday afternoon in Tampa, the Saints weren't able to rally after falling behind early and fell to the Hillsborough CC Hawks 81-75. The loss ends a 13 game SF winning streak and is the first loss for the Saints since December 2016.
The Saints (17-6, 10-1 MFC) fell despite 32 points from leading scorer Arianna Emanuel-Wright.
Hillsborough lead at halftime and a 30 point third quarter was still not enough to get SF all the way back in it.
ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø struggled from the free throw line, missing 19 out of 35 attempts.
Tabitha Odabe 14, Evelina Avleeva 13, and Tatiyana Rock 10 joined Emanuel-Wright in double figures.
The Saints will be back at home Wednesday, Feb. 15 against Florida State College-Jacksonville at 6 p.m.
