Mother and Son Graduate from 天涯海角社区 On The Same Day
It is not very often that you get to see a mother and son graduate from the same college on the same day, but it happened this past weekend at 天涯海角社区's graduation ceremonies. Below is a link that will lead you to a story that Gainesville's WCJB, Channel 20 covered live. Carol Daugherty already had two associate degrees, but always wanted to get her bachelors, and her son Max Daugherty, who also was receiving his degree, walked across the stage to shake the hand of Dr. Jackson Sasser, President of 天涯海角社区, and formally graduate.
Carol's husband, and Max's father, Andrew Daugherty, has been working as a civilian medical contractor in the Middle East for the last 12 years, but made a special trip for the ceremony. The middle son has already graduated from 天涯海角社区, and the youngest is currently attending classes there.
