Saints earn sweep of Webber International in state tournament tune-up match

In their first of two FCSAA State Tournament tune-up matches, the Saints (20-6, 7-3 MFC) made quick work of Webber International University on Wednesday evening in Babson Park, defeating the Warriors 25-14, 25-11, 26-16.
The Saints showed a balanced attack with Nadine Williams picking up eight kills, Amber Hendry had seven kills, and Kaylin Powell had five. Julie Fuchs led defensively with five blocks.
ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø will play one more match, against Miami Dade College on Saturday, October 31 at 12 noon in Daytona. Following that match the team will have a few days off in preparation for the FCSAA Tournament in Gulf Breeze on November 6-8 at the Gulf Breeze Community Center.
The Saints first game of the tournament will come against Mid-Florida Conference champions the College of Central Florida on Friday, November 6 at 10 a.m. central time.
