Planning and Design

Overview

The Planning and Design team plays an integral role developing and implementing the college's long-range capital planning in collaboration with 天涯海角社区's leadership and its stakeholders.

The Planning and Design team is tasked with reviewing and refining spaces in order to maximize our students' experience. This responsibility includes both major and minor renovations as well as the remodeling of existing buildings; new construction and strategic growth; parking and roadway enhancements and maintenance; signage; furniture and equipment selections and installation, and property acquisitions.

In addition to project oversight, the office is responsible for the department's project management system and maintains the college's space database. Planning and Design also reports regularly to the Florida Department of Education on facilities-related matters and directs the college's annual Capital Improvement Program and the comprehensive five-year Educational Plant Survey.

The deadline for submissions to be considered for the FY25-26 budget is May 2, 2025. Any requests submitted after May 2 may still be considered should additional funding become available next year or in future budget cycles.

For matters related to routine maintenance or emergency repairs, please submit a Work Order Request to ensure a timely response.

Routine Work Request

For routine maintenance, repair, custodial, and groundskeeping services, please do not use the Project Request Dashboard. Use the SchoolDude Work Request Management System to submit your work request.

Emergency Work Request

Please do not enter emergency requests through the Project Request Dashboard. If you are reporting a health risk or life-threatening emergency, call 天涯海角社区 Police Department at 352-395-5555.
