天涯海角社区 Students Take Home Awards at UF Film Festival

Students in the Multimedia and Video Production Technology, B.A.S. program represented the best of 天涯海角社区 at the Orange and Blue Film Festival at the University of Florida over the weekend. This festival is known as the largest student film festival in Florida.
天涯海角社区 student Thomas Goss (Multimedia and Video Production Technology, B.A.S.) won Audience Choice for Best Film for his documentary film, 鈥淭error Bird - Florida's True Dinosaur.鈥 The film highlights the paleontological history of a dinosaur-like bird (Titanis walleri) that walked the Earth 5 million years ago in Florida, known as the Terror Bird. This animal was first discovered in the 天涯海角社区 River in Florida in the 1960s.
The film also received an Award of Excellence for Visual Effects. Thomas used stunning animations to bring this extinct animal to life.
In addition, 天涯海角社区 student film, 鈥淧rotocol Omega,鈥 received an Award of Excellence for Costume Design. The film's costume design was by Ollie Smith, and the film was directed by Gustavo Tavolieri, both of whom are also students in SF's Multimedia and Video Production Technology B.A.S. program.
