Transgender Day of Remembrance 2021
November 17, 2021
This article is more than old and may contain outdated information.
On Thursday, November 18, the ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø LGBTQ+ Resource Center will mark Transgender
Day of Remembrance with an information table and altar in the S-Breezeway, 9:00am-12:00pm.
TDoR was founded by Gwendolyn Ann Smith after the 1988 murder of Rita Hester, a transgender
activist in Boston. On this day, we mourn all who are lost to anti-transgender violence,
an epidemic that disproportionately impacts trans women and nonbinary people of color.
Come out, support your queer ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø community, and pay respects to the individuals
who have lost their lives.
We will remember them.
