March 23, 2021 - ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø Vice President for Assessment, Research and Technology, Dr. Lisa Armour, is inviting the college community to take part in a Zoom town hall meeting this Friday, March 26, from 3-4:30 p.m. The town hall is designed to be a discussion of ideas for ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø's next Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) as part of its accreditation process with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
SACSCOC describes the QEP as Standard 7.2:
The institution has a Quality Enhancement Plan that (a) has a topic identified through
its ongoing, comprehensive planning and evaluation processes; (b) has broad-based
support of institutional constituencies; (c) focuses on improving specific student
learning outcomes and/or student success; (d) commits resources to initiate, implement,
and complete the QEP; and (e) includes a plan to assess achievement.
Many of you have been part of a Data Circle. Data Circle discussions may have inspired ideas about areas of challenge in terms of student learning outcomes and/or student success. Others may have ideas based on data you review as part of your work. Either way, please join us March 26 to propose ideas for consideration by a larger group.
As part of this event, up to ten workgroups (of two or more) who wish to take 5 minutes to pitch an idea will be given a spot on the agenda to do so. Pitched ideas will be discussed in breakout rooms as part of the workshop.
If you have a great idea, but will not be able to participate, you may submit to Lisa Armour a video pitch of 5 minutes or less. After the workshop, video pitches will be made available through a Canvas course open to faculty and staff. The workshop is a kickoff event rather than a QEP selection event.
Please email Cheryl Farrell at cheryl.farrell@sfcollege.edu for the Zoom link to the workshop.
