The Democracy Commitment @ ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø Announces Educational Series

ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø is part of a national initiative to engage community college students in civic learning and democratic practice, called The Democracy Commitment. The goal is that every graduate - in every program - will have had an education in democracy while at ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø. Fortunately, ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø is already strong in many areas of civic engagement and democratic learning, and striving to offer all students an enriched experience.

The Democracy Commitment will offer a special monthly series of educational forums on the 2012 elections and the election process, beginning this month. The first of the series will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22 in the Library's Constitution Wing, 2nd floor. . Professor David Price, Co-chair of the Democracy Commitment @ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø will lead a panel discussion, "State and Local Elections – What's At Stake?" This forum is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served and strong insights are welcome.
