SAINTS DROP TWO AGAINST STATE COLLEGE OF FLORIDA
Bradenton, FL – The State College of Florida Manatees used home field to their advantage on Saturday afternoon, defeating the FCSAA #4 ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø Saints 3-2 and 6-0.
Two costly errors were the downfall for SF in the 4-3 game one loss. SF (4-3) outhit the Manatees 10-5 but couldn't overcome two late fielding mistakes.
Left handed pitcher Erika Garcia was credited with the loss in the first half of the double header.
Kimberly Booker finished game one 2-for-3 with an RBI, Brittney Mayhill was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Bianca Torres was 2-for-3.
ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø couldn't get the bats going in game two and fell 6-0. Garcia started started and took her second loss of the day. Cierra Miller pitched the final 4.1 innings, surrendering just one hit. Kimberly Booker had the lone ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø hit.
The Saints play their first home doubleheader of the season on Tuesday, February 7 against Tallahassee CC at 2:00 PM.
