DATYONA DEFEATS SAINTS, 66-50
Daytona, FL – The ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø Saints struggled against the Daytona State Falcons on Saturday afternoon, falling 66-50 to drop SF to 7-17 overall and 1-5 in the Mid-Florida Conference.
The Saints played better in the second half but couldn't overcome a sluggish 19 point first half. The Falcons controlled the action over the first 20 minutes and led 32-19 at the break.
"Our effort was better in the second half, we shot much better, but just couldn't overcome that first half," said SF coach Chanda Stebbins. "We didn't do a good enough job on the boards and gave u too many second chance points."
Stephenie Coney led ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø with 12 points and four assists, Tiara Thompson had 11 and Cassandra Brown scored eight.
The Saints return to action on Wednesday, February 1 at Florida State College – Jacksonville. Tip off is scheduled for 6:00 PM.
