RTS Expands Bus Service to the Northwest Campus
January 5, 2012
New routes: 39 and 76
has added two new bus routes to ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø's Northwest campus:
- # 39, which runs between ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø and the Gainesville Airport down NW 39th Avenue –
- # 76, which runs from the Haile Plantation Publix to ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø via the Oaks Mall, SW 62nd Boulevard, SW 20th Avenue, and SW 24th Avenue –
SF students, faculty and staff can ride any RTS bus for free simply by showing their SFID to the driver.
If your New Year's resolutions include improving your fitness, walking to the bus stop, or biking to the bus stop and then putting your bike on the bus, adds movement to your day. Riding the bus is low-stress, cheaper than driving your car, and better for the environment!
If you need a bike mentor - someone to show you how to put your bike on the bus rack, for instance - email to today@sfcollege.edu and we'll connect you with people in the SF community who regularly bike/bus to work.
For more about RTS's buses, visit their website at Be sure to check out the Gator Locator, which tracks the buses in real time. You can check it from your smart phone, which will keep your bus-stop wait time to a minimum.
