SAINTS MOVE TO 16-0 IN FALL BALL

Gainesville, FL – The ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø Saints pitched their way to four victories last weekend, holding their opponents to five combined runs on Saturday and Sunday, moving their Fall Ball record to an unblemished 16-0.

On Saturday, October 29, ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø took two games from Orlando Baseball Academy, winning game one 6-0 and game two 6-2. Six pitchers combined to give up just three hits and two unearned runs in the doubleheader.

In game one, Jake Tillotson finished 2-for-2 with a triple and an RBI and Graham Ramos was 2-for-3 with a double, triple and an RBI.

Mallex Smith led the way in game two, going 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs and Lawrence Pardo was 2-for-3 with a homerun.

On Sunday against Mid-Florida Conference rivals Florida State College at Jacksonville, Saints pitchers carried shutouts into the seventh inning of both games before surrendering unearned runs. SF took game one 3-1 and game two 4-2.

Brad Markey pitched three shutout innings in game one with four strikeouts and JT Simpson and Felix Roque followed him, holding FSC-J in check. In game two Ryan Yarbrough, Ryan Caporice and Josh Larson combined on the win.

Shane Kennedy drove in the first run of game one, knocking in Tillotson with a sac fly. The Saints added two more in the sixth on a Tim Remes Sac fly and a Mallex Smith double.

In game two, Kennedy finished 2-for-2 and Garrett Greenwell was 2-for-3 to lead the offense.
