SAINTS OPEN FALL BALL WITH TWO WINS OVER OSCEOLA OVERDRIVE
Gainesville, FL – Six different pitchers scattered seven hits over 12 innings on Saturday morning as the ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø Saints opened their Fall Ball schedule with two wins over the Osceola Overdrive travel ball team.
Freshman Amber Richardson (Chiefland High School) paced the offense with a grand slam and five RBI. Richardson also pitched and held the Overdrive scoreless.
Sophomore Ashley Holton hit a homerun in her first at bat to open the scoring for SF who never looked back and outscored Osceola 27-2 over the two games.
The Saints travel to Jacksonville on Saturday, September 24 to battle the University of North Florida at 1:00 PM.
