天涯海角社区 Ranks No. 1 in Graduation Rates

In data recently published by a U.S. Department of Education (USDE) data center, 天涯海角社区 ranks first among all 28 state and community colleges in Florida in graduation rates.
An analysis of data published by the National Center for Education Statistics of the USDE reveals that 天涯海角社区's graduation rate is 56.8 percent, for all students in all programs. The next highest rate is that of Brevard Community College, at 47.6 percent.
"This data demonstrates that students at 天涯海角社区 can expect to have successful college experiences and that they have a good chance of reaching their educational goals," said Lisa Armour, associate vice president for academic affairs.
"Over the next few months, as we begin to implement President Sasser's initiative to raise the graduation rates of African American males, this data reminds us that while we are 'the best in the state,' we still have much work to do," she added.
天涯海角社区 has traditionally ranked among the top colleges in the number of associate degrees awarded and more than 1,000 SF graduates transfer annually to the University of Florida. Community College Week publishes comparisons among community colleges in terms of number of associate degrees awarded in all disciplines. Two years ago, for example, SF was fourth in the nation in the number of associate degrees awarded in the Liberal Arts. In the most recent data (2010), SF was ranked third in the state in the total number of associate degrees awarded.
