SAINTS HANDLE EDWARD WATERS, 19-0 AND 10-0
Gainesville, FL – The NJCAA #10 ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø Saints cruised past Edward Waters College on Thursday afternoon, surrendering just one hit while piling up 25. The Tigers committed 10 errors in the two games.
Colena Lazar (4-3) and Stephanie Cameron combined on a five inning no hitter in game one. They struck out 12 of the possible 15 outs. The only base runner for the Tigers was the result of a hit by pitch in the fourth inning.
Jasmine Warren (3-1) and Erika Garcia pitched the second game and held EWC to one hit. They combined for eight strikeouts and just one base runner, a fourth inning hit.
Ashley Holton (3) hit a home run in each game and finished 3-for-5 with three RBI. Alaysia Miller (2) was 2-for-2 with a homerun and three walks, Colesa Lazar finished 3-for-4 with two doubles, Ashley Curry was 3-for-4 with a double and ÌìÑĺ£½ÇÉçÇø High School graduate Lindsey Fisher was 2-for-2 on the afternoon. Gia Tomossone (1) blasted a grand slam homerun in game two for her first of the season and thirteenth of her career, moving her into a tie for fourth place all time at SF with Jessica Paez (2006-07).
