Building Maintenance Repairer Apprenticeship*, Certificate

Program Overview

The Building Maintenance Repairer Apprenticeship is an earn-while-you-learn program that begins with a job in the field. Students are employed full-time by a participating contractor, who also pays the cost of tuition, allowing students to gain valuable experience while completing their education at no personal cost. Classes are held two nights a week during the fall and spring terms, allowing students to work during the day and train in the evenings.

This two-year program combines classroom instruction with on-the-job training to prepare students for careers in the skilled trades. Students receive hands-on training in plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, carpentry, small engine maintenance and repair, sheet rock repair, and floor and wall coverings. In addition to technical skills, students also earn industry-recognized credentials, including and .

For those not yet employed in the field, the program provides assistance in finding placement with sponsoring employers. The program is proudly sponsored by the (BANCF) and is designed to meet the growing demand for skilled trade professionals in our local community. 

Students must

  • Be 18 years old and employable in the trade they are entering.
  • No high school completion or equivalent is required, but is highly recommended.
  • A driver's license is not required but highly recommended.
  • Apprentices must be employed by a participating employer in their trade.
